Drink Two Shakes a Day and Loose 5-6 Pounds!

Research shows that with just two shakes a day, you can lose weight and reduce the size of your waist. It’s really hard to keep up with a diet and exercise routine, especially with our busy lives. If you’re able to do it, that’s amazing and if you add two shakes per day to your diet, it will help to increase results! Or if you’re like me and don’t have the time to keep up with a schedule, I prefer to replace two meals a day with a protein shake and watch the weight melt away! The best part is that you won’t starve and you won’t sabotage hard-earned muscle.

It can’t be that easy. Yes it is! Here’s the proof:

A clinical trial published in the Journal of Nutrition tracked 90 men and women over 6 months of drinking two shakes a day. They drank whey protein (28g of protein each) shakes around breakfast or dinner. Each shake contained about 200 calories. The whey group lost 4 pounds of body weight and 5 pounds of fat mass, as well as reduced their waist circumference and fasting hunger hormone (ghrelin) levels.

Drink 2 MRPs/day + Lose 6lbs

In a study of 38 sedentary male and female adults published in Nutrition and Metabolism, researchers studied the effects of 300 calorie MRPs. The people in the study drank MRPs once a day for 2 weeks, then twice a day for 8 more weeks. After the 10 weeks, the MRP-exercise group lost an average of 6 pounds of fat and had a 2 pound increase in lean body mass.

So now that you know the amazing results that you can get just by drinking two shakes a day, you have two options:

Personally I prefer to buy a pre-made shake since it saves me time. I know, I know, they don’t taste great, BUT nothing tastes as good as thin feels right? And some of them aren’t so bad. Here are some of my favorites:

If you would rather create your own, there are some key ingredients that should go into each shake to give you maximum results.

Step 1: Pick a Protein Powder

Step 2: Pick a Fiber

Step 3: Add Omega-3 Fats

Step 4: Make it taste better

  • Add fresh fruit
  • Add peanut butter
  • Add chocolate powder
  • Use milk or almond milk instead of water

Then shake it all together! If you’re adding any of the “taste better” items, you’ll probably want to do this in a blender. If not, I find that these handy bottle shakers are the best way to do that so that you can drink it right out of the container once it’s mixed.
